[TAS] Creating and Scheduling Looping Sets

The content in this article is appropriate for: Administrators

This article assumes that TAS Clients have been created and Programs/Campaigns, and Schedule have been configured in the ACD.

The SC TAS module is able to handle looping rule sets. A looping set is a number of dispatch rules (minimum: 2) that is designed to follow a specific order and then loop back to restart all or part of the process again.

1. Create a Looping Set
2. Schedule a Looping Set

  1. Log in to the SC ACD
The easiest way is to type [yourcompanyname].singlecomm.com into a browser, then log in with your email address/password.

  2. Expand the TAS module options by clicking on TAS in the left-hand navigation bar

  3. Access your current TAS accounts by clicking Manage Existing Accounts

Create a Looping Set:

  1. Select the client you would like to create the set for by clicking on the account name, then click on the Dispatching tab at the top of the TAS Management page

  2. All of the Dispatch Rule Sets you have for the account will be displayed as tabs across the top

  3. Select the tab of the Dispatch Rule Set you wish to edit

This dispatch set currently has only rule one: Email Harry

  4. Click New Rule

If your Dispatch set already contains multiple rules, you may not need to add any additional. For this example, the account only had a single rule applied to it, and the minimum number of rules required for a looping set is 2.

  5. Add name for the new rule in the Rule Label field

We’ll call it Email Bill since that is what this rule is designed to do.

  6. Scroll down to Contact Method and choose an option from the dropdown

In this case we chose the existing entry Bill Email ():Email

  7. Click Update to save the new rule

  8. There are now 2 rules for this Dispatch Set:

  9. In order to get the set to loop from Email Harry to Email Bill and then back to Email Harry, etc.- you must add a Looping rule. To do this, click New Rule

  10. Configure the settings for this looping rule:

A Rule Label of Loop Back to Harry was added, the Rule Type was set to Loop and the Loop Destination dropdown was set to Email Harry.
  11. Click Update to save the new rule

  12. You can see that this new rule set is configured to 1) Email Bill 2)Email Harry and then 3)Loop Back to Bill
    Do these sets loop forever?
A looping set is designed to loop until it is acknowledged.

Schedule a Looping Set

  1. In the same account window where the set was created, locate the Manage Schedule on Set section and choose the option to Activate Set on schedule

  2. Click the dropdown next to Select schedule to apply and choose from one of the pre-existing schedule options.

  3. Click Save to apply the schedule

Your looping rule set has been created and scheduled!
