Scheduling/Sending CX Explore Reports
Step-by-step instructions for sending out customized reports.
This article covers:
1. Who/What/Where of Scheduling
Who can send reports?
Any user that has a personal account and access to the CX Explore platform (not just viewer access via CX Route) can customize and schedule reports.
What are scheduled reports?
A scheduled report is any dataset that is available, whether default or custom. These can be looks, user-defined or LookML dashboards that are assigned settings as part of the scheduling process.
Where do I schedule reports?
Reports can only be scheduled from inside CX Explore. If you are a superuser that is currently viewing reports from inside CX Route, you must exit that and log in to:
https://analytics.singlecomm.net/login
From CX Explore, the Schedule modal is available inside the Settings Menu.
To access it:
- Click on the icon
- Choose Schedule from the drop down menu
*The Schedule pop-up is the same regardless of where it is accessed from within the platform.

3. Send Without Scheduling
The Send option is available for saved content (Looks and dashboards), and for on-the-fly queries in Explores.
You can immediately send data directly from an Explore, Look, or dashboard with the same destination and formatting options that are available when scheduling data deliveries. This lets you send data right away, without setting up a schedule. In the case of an Explore, you can send a query immediately using all the destination and formatting options, without having to save the query to a dashboard or a Look.
To send a query from an explore:
- Click the Settings Menu in the top right
- Click Send
- Choose recipient(s) to send it to, add an additional message, select the desired format, and click Send to close the pop-up and return to the query
Similar to the Send Test button in the Schedule pop-up, this feature allows you to create a query and send it out immediately. Once it is sent, you can still opt to save it, schedule it, or delete it.
4. View All Schedules
Users can easily view/manage all of their scheduled reports in the following location:
- Click the icon in the top right to drop down the user menu
- Click Schedules
- On the list of Schedules You've Created:
- Schedule ID #s
