[WorkFlow] Chrome Browser DNS

We have identified that recent scripting concerns may be due to network disruptions caused by Hurricane Helene and Internet Service Providers' DNS issues that are occurring as a result.
As a temporary solution, we recommend that agents switch to Google’s DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), which we have confirmed will resolve the issue.

This can be set at the browser level

Chrome

  1. Close all open, active browsers

  2. Open only one Chrome browser instance

  3. Navigate to this URL by copying/pasting into your search bar: chrome://settings/security?search=DNS

  4. Click on the Select DNS Provider dropdown in the middle of the page

    1. choose Google (Public DNS)

  5. Close the browser

  6. Relaunch Chrome and follow the above steps to make sure the setting has taken effect.

MS Edge

  1. Close all open, active browsers

  2. Open only one Edge browser instance

  3. Navigate to this URL by copying/pasting into your search bar: edge://settings/?search=DNS

  4. Click Choose a Service Provider

    1. Click within the box and select Google (Public DNS)

  5. Close the browser

  6. Relaunch Edge and follow the above steps to make sure the setting has taken effect.
